Design Considerations

Have you got the space for swing gates for your required location, is there any obstacles that will prevent the gate from opening.
Is the ground across the gate opening or in the direction the gate is going to open level if not, you will have to allow enough clearance for the gate to open, this creating a large gap under the gate when closed.
The bottom of the gate should have a minimum 40mm clearance so the gate does not get stuck on stray rocks or sticks.
